Is texting registration the same as Campaign Verify?
Updated over 2 months ago

No, texting registration submitted within Impactive is a distinct process than the process of obtaining a "token" via Campaign Verify.

Campaign Verify is an initial step that is required BEFORE registering with Impactive, only if you are an electoral entity (an electoral campaign, a party/committee, or a 527/PAC).

If you are one of those electoral entity types, you will first need to register with Campaign Verify, and then use the resulting token to register via Impactive as your second step.

Note that the Campaign Verify token required by the Impactive registration form is a long string of letters and numbers beginning with "cv" - it is NOT the initial four-digit "PIN" code that Campaign Verify provides.

Receiving a CV token will take 24 hours if your organization has an email address listed on its FEC filing, or will take approximately 7 days if an email address is not listed (Campaign Verify will mail the token). Any questions or concerns with this process can be taken up with Campaign Verify.
