Campaign Verify tokens are a required component of texting (10DLC) registration for electoral entities: campaigns, parties/committees, and PACs.
Campaign Verify tokens expire at the end of the election cycle every two years - Campaign Verify's current explanation, from their FAQ, is as follows:
"Campaign Verify Authorization Tokens are valid for two-year election cycles. This is a security measure to ensure campaigns are active and managed by current representatives.
Tokens for verification requests submitted between November 15, 2022 - November 14, 2024 expired on January 31, 2025. A new Campaign Verify cycle started on November 15, 2024. Tokens for verification requests submitted on or after November 15, 2024 will be valid until January 31, 2027.
To obtain a token with the 2027 expiration date, users will need to submit a new verification request with Campaign Verify and pay an additional $95 fee."
If your Campaign Verify token is expired, you'll see a warning message in your Impactive admin dashboard, in the Campaign Settings tab under 10DLC. If your Campaign Verify token is expired, you will not be able to text until the issue is resolved.
To re-activate your access to texting on Impactive, you must obtain a new Campaign Verify token and provide it to Impactive (via [email protected]). The exact steps are:
Visit Campaign Verify's website here and complete the verification process, including the $95 verification fee.
Obtain your new Campaign Verify token - this is the full token, a long string of letters and numbers beginning with "cv," NOT the six-digit PIN code.
Email your campaign's new Campaign Verify token (the long string of letters and numbers) to [email protected]; we will respond to confirm that your token has been applied to your campaign for continued texting access.
