The Campaign Settings tab allows you to customize a number of settings across multiple Impactive product types. Read on to learn more about what each setting controls.
Basics
These settings govern the user (volunteer) experience in the Impactive volunteer web/app portal.
Profile Picture
Upload a 300x300 px profile image to appear in the volunteer web/app portal.
Hero Image
Upload a 1600x900 px image to appear as a "hero" background image in the volunteer web/app portal. Note that text appears over this image, so an image with no background text is preferable.
Target District
Target District governs the "In District" filter that volunteers can use to filter their synced personal contacts, usually used for Friends and Family Messaging. Setting a district here means that volunteers will only see personal contacts who live in that district (a congressional district, city, etc.) if they apply the "In District" filter to their contacts. Note that a target district can also be set on an individual action basis in Friends and Family Messaging (which overrides the global setting, if applied individually).
Teams
If turned ON, this toggle will auto-generate a team chat thread within volunteers' inboxes whenever a new team is created.
Slogan
This slogan will appear in the volunteer web/app portal to describe your campaign.
Description
This description will appear in the volunteer web/app portal to describe your campaign.
Website URL
This URL will appear in the volunteer web/app portal to direct volunteers to learn more about your campaign.
Brand Information (Spanish)
Optionally, toggle ON Spanish brand information if you would like to offer a different slogan, description, and/or website URL for volunteers who designate Spanish as the language they will use to engage with Impactive. Note that the content you input here (slogan, description) should be in Spanish.
Volunteer Onboarding
These settings optionally customize the user (volunteer experience) when they join your Impactive campaign for the first time in the volunteer web/app portal.
Welcome Message
Write a welcome message that will automatically appear in a user's (volunteer's) Impactive inbox when they join the campaign. Note that the welcome message will not be sent unless at least one administrator with the "Welcome Message Sender Permission" toggled ON exists within your campaign.
Welcome Description
Write a welcome description that appears in the initial welcome screens when a user (volunteer) joins your campaign.
Welcome Video
Upload a short video that will appear in the initial welcome screens when a volunteer joins your campaign.
Welcome Content (Spanish)
Optionally, toggle ON Spanish welcome content if you would like to offer a different welcome message, description, and/or video for volunteers who designate Spanish as the language they will use to engage with Impactive. Note that the content you input here (message, description, video) should be in Spanish.
10DLC Registration Form
This tab is where you can submit your texting registration form and monitor your texting registration status; learn more here.
Peer-to-Peer Texting
These settings pertain to Peer-to-Peer Texting on Impactive.
User First Name Fallback
If your Peer-to-Peer Texting script includes a dynamic variable for the user (volunteer)'s first name, and the user does not have a first name saved to their Impactive profile, this fallback word or phrase will be used instead of their first name.
Contact First Name Fallback
If your Peer-to-Peer Texting script includes a dynamic variable for the contact's first name, and the contact does not have a first name in Impactive, this fallback word or phrase will be used instead of their first name.
Contact Assignment Bucket Size
This bucket size controls the number of messages that volunteers are assigned to text at a time. This is NOT the total number of messages that volunteers can send for a particular action; it is merely the number of messages that they can text before reaching the end of that batch and being instructed to check their inbox for replies, i.e. they will be able to claim another bucket after completing one.
Disable Custom Responses
Optionally, disable custom responses so that volunteers can only use designated response scripts written by administrators; they will not be able to type their own replies to contacts.
Texting Hours
Set the hours during which volunteers can send peer-to-peer messages to contacts, both initial scripts and response scripts/replies. If volunteers attempt to send messages outside of these hours (initial messages or replies), they will see the error "The campaign is not allowing texting at this time."
Texting Hours Time Zone
Designate the time zone corresponding to the texting hours set above.
Prevent Frequent Texting
If this toggle is ON, contacts will not be able to receive new peer-to-peer initial scripts (from new actions) within 6 hours of receiving an initial script. This does not apply to response scripts/replies. Impactive recommends keeping this toggle ON to prevent accidental duplicate texting of the same contacts.
Preferred Area Codes
Designate up to four area codes for your Peer-to-Peer Texting; these will be the area codes for the phone numbers that contacts will receive texts from. These will be the global area codes that are available to be selected per-action. If your campaign needs a larger set of area codes (more than four) for your Peer-to-Peer Texting program, reach out to [email protected].
Broadcast Texting
These settings pertain to Broadcast Texting on Impactive.
Broadcast Number
This is your designated Impactive Broadcast Texting number, with the preferred area code you designated when you submitted your initial texting registration. If you would like to edit your Broadcast Texting number - to change the area code, switch to a toll-free number, or switch to a short code - reach out to [email protected].
Texting Hours
Set the hours during which admins can send or schedule Broadcast Texting blasts, and users (volunteers) can send response scripts/replies. If admins attempt to send or schedule a blast outside of these hours, the messages will result in errors (at no cost to you). If volunteers attempt to send response scripts outside of these hours, they will see the error "The campaign is not allowing texting at this time."
Texting Hours Time Zone
Designate the time zone corresponding to the texting hours set above.
Automated Response Outside of Texting Hours
Optionally, designate an auto-response message that will be sent to contacts who reply to a broadcast message outside of the texting hours set above. If left blank, no auto-response message will be sent.
Prevent Frequent Texting
If this toggle is ON, contacts will not be able to receive new broadcast blasts within 6 hours of receiving a broadcast blast. This does not apply to response scripts/replies. Impactive recommends keeping this toggle ON to prevent accidental duplicate texting of the same contacts.
Phone Banking
These settings pertain to Phone Banking on Impactive.
Prevent Frequent Calling
If this toggle is ON, contacts will not be able to receive new phone banking calls within 6 hours of last receiving a call where they picked up the phone. (This setting does not apply to errors or call outcomes reported as answering machine - those contacts can still be re-dialed even if this protection is on). Impactive recommends keeping this toggle ON to prevent accidental duplicate calling of the same contacts who already spoke to a caller.
