If a user (volunteer) is attempting to join your phone banking action, but they're not receiving a call to their phone when they reach that step in the joining process (where they input their phone number and click Call Me), here are a few things to try:

  • Make sure Impactive is attempting to dial the correct number. It seems obvious, but it's always a good idea to verify that the phone number being shown above the Call Me button is the correct phone number for the device that the user wants to receive the call on.

  • Make sure the user's phone isn't blocking calls via Do Not Disturb. Certain devices/settings will block incoming calls if Do Not Disturb is turned on; make sure that calls can be received. You can even test that calls are going through by calling them directly with your phone and seeing if they receive it.

  • Make sure the user's cell carrier (AT&T, Verizon, etc.) isn't blocking spam calls. While it's relatively uncommon, some users have mobile phone plans that block calls that are believed to be spam. Here are resources for turning on/off spam blocking for key cell carriers:
