Introduction
This article defines key terms for metrics visible in the Impactive admin interface.
My Campaigns Glossary
When you navigate to the “My Campaigns” Page, you will see these key metrics and stats across the campaign. Additionally, you can filter in the top right corner to see metrics within a specific date range.
New Volunteers:
Unique people who have downloaded Impactive and joined your campaign.
Returning Volunteers:
Volunteers revisiting the volunteer app during the time frame selected in the date picker after having used the app previously.
Active Volunteers:
Unique people who have been participating in any of the campaign's actions during the time period selected.
Actions Completed:
Unique people who have completed unique actions. One volunteer who sends the same message to 20 people is counted as one action completed.
Actions Performed:
Times that an action has been completed. One volunteer who sends the same thing to 10 people is counted 10 times.
People Reached:
The unique number of people reached by a specific action. In this example, if volunteers Ceyda and Sara both reached their friend Emily, Emily would be counted once.
Reports:
Number of reports completed on all actions.
SMS:
The number of SMS message segments that have been sent on the platform. Generally used for billing purposes. If a message is > 160 characters it will count as 2 message segments or > 70 characters if using emojis.
MMS:
Same as above for MMS.
Actions Glossary
All actions
When you navigate to the “Actions” tab, you can see user engagement metrics under the Actions Summary.
Sent:
Sent refers to the total number of people the action was sent to.
Seen:
Seen refers to the # of users who received an action, opened the app, and saw it. We also share the percentage of all users who “saw” the action. This is not limited to the day it was created so it will continue to rise over time.
Started:
Started refers to the number of users who scrolled to the action in Impactive, and clicked on the call to action (e.g. ‘Start Texting’ or ‘Share on Social’) button.
Completed:
Completed counts the many unique users who followed through and completed the action. Performed:
Because users can complete a single action more than once (ie. text one friend, go back and text again), we count the total number of times the action was completed via “performs.”
