Filtering Contact Lists

You can click into a Contact List from the Lists tab on Impactive, you'll see a section named "Filter" that you can click to expand:

If you'd like to filter your contact list down more, toggle the selected filters and click the "Apply Filter" button. It's important to remember that this will not change your summary metrics at the top of the page.

Here are some quick definitions for these filters and how they work:

  • Received Message from Friend: Turn this on to filter for contacts that have received a message from a friend on Impactive.
  • Responded to Cold SMS: Turn this on to filter for contacts who have responded to a Peer to Peer SMS message previously.
  • Has Report Filled: Turn this on to filter for contacts who have had a report filled out for them.
  • Has Unsubscribed: Turn this on to filter for contacts who have unsubscribed from the campaign.
  • Has Not Unsubscribed: Turn this on to filter for contacts who have not unsubscribed from the campaign.
  • Needs attention: Turns this on to filter for contacts who have replied but haven't been responded to.
  • Tags: Select from a list of tags for your campaign to filter for contacts who have had that Tag "turned on" or set to "true" by your volunteers in their reports.
  • Does not have tags: Select from a list of tags for your campaign to filter for contacts who do not have that Tag "turned on" or set to "true" by your volunteers in their reports. You can enter multiple tags here. This enables you to add multiple tags in the same criteria using “or” type clauses.  For example, filtering by “does not include tag: `moved`, `wrong number, `concerned abt voter id`, or `likely conservative` will filter for contacts on that list that do not have any of those tags.
  • Custom Fields: Select from a list of custom fields for your campaign to filter for contacts who have had that Custom Field applied with a specific value by volunteers in their reports. Currently, this only works for SelectionField custom fields.
  • Does not have custom field value: Select from a list of custom fields for your campaign to filter for contacts who have not had that Custom Field applied with a specific value by volunteers in their reports. Currently, this only works for SelectionField custom fields. Each “does not have custom field” filter allows you to include multiple custom fields in the filter. This enables you to add multiple custom fields in the same criteria using “or” type clauses. Further, you can combine both the “does not include tag” and “does not include custom field” filters together to tell the filter to look for any contacts that do not have either the “does not include tag” or “does not include custom field value” values.
  • Custom fields filled: Select from a list of custom fields for your campaign to filter for contacts who have not had that Custom Field applied by volunteers in their reports. This works with both text fields and selection fields.
  • Activity Scripts: Select from a list of scripts for your campaign to filer for contacts who received those scripts in your outreach.
